HastelloyB-4 Material introduction
HastelloyB-4(NS3204、00Mo28Ni65Fe4Cr)is a new generation of Ni Mo corrosion resistant alloy developed by KRUPP VDM of Germany, and its appearance time is generally the same as that of B-3 alloy. The purpose of developing B-4 alloy is also to solve the problem of B-2 alloy β The intermediate temperature hot brittleness and welding cracks caused by (Ni4Mo) phase precipitation are also caused by adjusting the Fe and Cr content in the alloy to β The precipitation of phase is restrained or delayed. The difference between the two is that B-4 alloy focuses on increasing Fe content, while B-3 alloy controls Fe and Cr simultaneously. Due to the high content of Fe, B-4 alloy has better control effect on the precipitation of B-phase than B-3 alloy. Because the content of Mo, which plays a major role in corrosion resistance, remains unchanged, the alloy maintains the overall corrosion resistance of B-2 alloy. Due to the significant improvement of thermal stability, the brittle crack inclination of B-2 alloy in the processing and manufacturing process can be overcome, and the intergranular corrosion resistance and stress corrosion resistance related to thermal stability are also greatly improved.
