Inconel617 Material introduction
Inconel617(UNS N06617/W.Nr.2.4663)It is a solid solution and strengthened Ni Cr Co Mo alloy with excellent comprehensive high temperature strength and oxidation resistance. The alloy also has corrosion resistance in a wide range of corrosion environments, and is easy to shape and weld with existing technologies. High nickel and chromium content makes the alloy resistant to corrosion in various reducing and oxidizing environments. The combined action of aluminum and chromium provides the high-temperature oxidation resistance of the alloy. Cobalt and molybdenum endow the alloy with solid solution strengthening ability.
Due to its comprehensive high strength and oxidation resistance above 980 ℃, Inconel 617 alloy is very attractive for use as conduit, combustion tank and conversion lining in aircraft and land-based gas turbine. Due to its high temperature corrosion resistance, the alloy is used for catalytic grid support in nitric acid production, hanging basket in heat treatment, and concentration plate in molybdenum refining. Inconel 617 alloy also offers attractive properties in components for fuel and nuclear power applications.

Inconel617 Heat treatment method
In order to obtain proper properties, the solution treatment temperature is 1150 ℃ - 1200 ℃, which must be water quenched to obtain maximum creep resistance. The thickness less than 1.5mm can also be rapidly air cooled.
The stress relief annealing temperature can reach 870℃。
In all heat treatment processes, pay attention to the matters mentioned above about keeping clean.
