Inconel686 Material introduction
Inconel686(UNS N06686/00Cr21Ni56Mo16W4)The alloy is also a new brand of Ni Cr Mo series alloy, which was introduced in 1993. On the basis of Hastelloy C-276, this alloy only increases the chromium content to 21% and reduces the iron content to ≤ 2%, making the total Cr+Mo+W of this alloy up to 41%, which is the highest in this kind of alloy. In some media, the corrosion resistance of 686 alloy is generally superior to the aforementioned Ni Cr Mo alloys. However, due to the high amount of Cr+Mo+W in the alloy, even if the iron content of the alloy is ≤ 1%, the thermal stability of the alloy will still be affected. Therefore, in order to prevent the existence of metal equivalence on the solid solution matrix of this alloy, the solution treatment temperature of this alloy should be as high as 1200 ℃ and rapid cooling is required.
