Incoloy926 Material introduction
Incoloy926 alloy(UNS NO8926/W.Nr.1.4529)It is a super austenitic stainless steel, which contains 6% molybdenum and improves properties by adding nitrogen. Its nickel and chromium make it have good corrosion resistance in a wide range of corrosive environments. The alloy has good corrosion resistance to non oxidizing acids such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid. The high molybdenum content and nitrogen make it resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, and the copper content can improve its corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid. Incoloy926 alloy is an all austenitic alloy containing 6% molybdenum, which can provide excellent corrosion resistance in many highly corrosive aqueous solutions. When the corrosion resistance of ordinary austenitic stainless steels (AISI 316 and 317) reaches the limit, they can replace these stainless steels. In addition, in some marine and chemical environments, the alloy can also be used as an economical alternative to high nickel alloys。

The alloy is especially suitable for some environments with high chloride content, such as brine, seawater, corrosive chloride and bleaching system of pulp mill. Its applications include chemical and food engineering, pulp and paper bleaching equipment, offshore and offshore oil platform equipment, evaporators of salt plants, air pollution control systems, as well as condensate piping systems of power plants, circulating water piping systems and water heaters。
