Incoloy825 Material introduction
Incoloy825(UNS N08825/W.Nr. 2.4858) It is an iron nickel chromium alloy with molybdenum, copper and titanium added. The chemical composition of the alloy (as shown in Table 1) is designed for working conditions requiring excellent resistance to a variety of corrosive environments. The nickel content in the composition is sufficient to produce resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. The combination of nickel, molybdenum and copper also has significant resistance to reducing environments such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid. At the same time, molybdenum is helpful to improve the resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. The chromium content of the alloy is resistant to various oxidizing substances, such as nitric acid, nitrate and oxide. After proper heat treatment, the addition of titanium can stabilize the alloy structure, thus avoiding intergranular corrosion sensitization
Incoloy 825 alloy has a wide range of applications due to its comprehensive and local corrosion resistance under different working conditions. Applications include chemical production, fuel recovery and radioactive waste disposal.
