Incoloy925 Material introduction
Incoloy925 alloy(UNS NO9925)It is a precipitable hardening alloy with molybdenum, copper, titanium and aluminum added on the basis of iron nickel chromium alloy. The alloy has high strength and excellent corrosion resistance in application. The nickel content is sufficient to protect the alloy from chloride corrosion cracking. The combination of nickel, molybdenum and copper also makes the alloy have excellent resistance to reducing chemical composition. Molybdenum is helpful to improve the resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. The chromium content in the alloy provides oxidation resistance to reducing environments. Adding titanium and aluminum can strengthen the alloy during heat treatment.
Incoloy925 alloy is widely used in various applications with high strength and corrosion resistance. Due to its resistance to sulfide stress cracking and stress corrosion cracking in sour (H2S containing) crude oil and natural gas, alloys are used for downhole and downhole fittings, including pipes, valves, hooks, joints, connections and packers. Alloy is also used for fasteners, ships and pump shafts, and high-strength piping systems.
